Middlebury trustees approve minutes, accept director and treasurer reports and adjourn; next meeting set for Sept. 8

Chairman Rita H. Smith called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. and trustees handled routine business, approving minutes and reports before adjourning at 4:38 p.m.
"Chairman Smith called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 4:00 p.m.," the minutes state. During the session Trustee Diane Giuditta moved to approve the May 12, 2026 meeting minutes; Trustee Meg Vance seconded and the motion was approved. Trustee John Moriarty moved to approve the Treasurer's report; Trustee Diane Giuditta seconded and that motion was approved. Trustee Meg Vance moved to accept the Director's report; Trustee Mary C. Veillette seconded and the motion was unanimously approved.
No public comment was recorded. Trustee Mary C. Veillette moved to adjourn; Trustee Diane Giuditta seconded and the meeting adjourned at 4:38 p.m. The minutes note that the Library Board of Trustees does not meet in July and August and that the next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. in the Middlebury Library Meeting Room.
