Middlebury trustees accept Treasurer's report, approve minutes and set summer Saturday hours

At the May 12 meeting the Middlebury Library Board accepted routine financial and procedural items including the Treasurer's Report, approval of prior minutes and a seasonal change to library hours.
Treasurer Mary Veillette reported there was no account activity between Feb. 28 and Apr. 30, 2026 and said, "The total in the Fund 61-Brick Sales and Room Naming Opportunities account remains at $26,120.05." Trustee Diane Giuditta moved to accept the Treasurer's Report; John Moriarty seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting Trustee Meg Vance moved to approve the March 10, 2026 meeting minutes; Diane Giuditta seconded and the motion was unanimously approved. Trustees also approved seasonal hours, closing the library on Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and resuming Saturday hours Sept. 12, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 5:02 p.m. after John Moriarty moved to adjourn and Diane Giuditta seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
