The Swartz Creek Board approved two vendor contracts on March 26 for network upgrades funded by a combination of the federal E-Rate grant and the district sinking fund.
Chuck Melki moved and Holly Jarvis seconded approval of Newkirk Electric for the network infrastructure project at $224,914, with funding split 60% E-Rate and 40% Sinking Fund; the motion passed 7–0. The Board then approved Sehi for wireless access points and licensing at $54,514 under the same funding arrangement, also on a 7–0 roll call.
Both motions record the E-Rate Grant covering 60% of the stated amounts and the Sinking Fund covering the remaining 40%; the minutes state the contracts were approved "as presented."
