The speaker said members felt undervalued when district leaders accept increases tied to other bargaining units without broader parity.
Kirk Greeley, representing the faculty association, thanked the board and urged more engagement with teachers on campus. "Budget pressures are real, and the choices ahead will not be easy," he said, asking the board to ground decisions in support for educators and to continue meeting staff where they work. Trustees acknowledged the concerns and approved a tentative agreement later in the meeting addressing classified job description modernization; staff said the agreement establishes a task force to update job classifications and will include current employees in the review process.
