Council members approved purchasing picnic tables for the Plevna park and adding gutters to the park building, saying the expense should be covered by existing park budget line items and should not exceed $3,000. Councilman Kyle Vennes moved to purchase picnic tables and have gutters added; Promise Miller seconded and the motion carried on a 4–0 recorded vote.
Councilwoman Miller said the town’s logo contest has been posted at the school, post office, town website and Facebook pages and that she also shared the flyer to a local community Facebook group. She said she will follow up with a volunteer (Vaughn Zenko) about proposed town-celebration plans and suggested July as a likely timeframe to avoid conflicts with Baker events and to attract student participation.
