Councilwoman Promise Miller moved to set annual licensing fees at $10 for spayed/neutered dogs and $15 for non‑spayed/neutered dogs, with penalties of $100 for the first offense, $200 for the second and $500 for the third; Michelle Gray seconded the motion and the council approved it on a 4–0 recorded vote. Clerk/Treasurer Ashley Martin told the council she had located pricing for tags: roughly $140 to order 200 tags that could be used for multiple years.
The council discussed offering a vaccine clinic timed to licensing enforcement; members recalled that Baker Vet Clinic previously held on‑site clinics in warmer months. The licensing period was set to run Jan. 1 through Dec. 31 annually, and the council instructed staff to proceed with purchasing tags and implementing the licensing process.
