The Town of Plevna council voted unanimously to approve a recommended mill levy of 97.61 mills during the Sept. 9 budget hearing. Councilman Jason Oberlander moved to approve the recommended mill levy and Councilwoman Michelle Gray seconded; the motion carried 4‑0.
Clerk/Treasurer Ashley Martin noted the number “15,931 comes from the 2024 certified taxable valuation information sent from the state,” which was used in the mill‑levy calculation. The council did not record any no votes or abstentions on the levy motion.
