Committee: HR manager offer under negotiation; firm helping with recruitment

Chair opened the meeting and staff provided an update on the human-resources manager recruitment. Staff member (S4) said the city interviewed two strong candidates, "We have made an offer to the 1st, and there's still a little bit of negotiation happening," and added that the candidate raised work–life balance concerns that are being discussed.
S4 told the committee the recruitment firm Find Great People is assisting with outreach and candidate screening. The staff member said if the current negotiations do not resolve, the city may proceed to the other candidate but that staff is optimistic the search is nearing completion. The matter will return for further updates at a subsequent meeting.
