The Sun Valley City Council on June 16 authorized Mayor Peter Hendricks to sign Declaration 20-01, awarding a sole-source procurement to Asphalt Systems, Inc. under Idaho Code IC 67-2808(2). Street Superintendent Whitesell told the council the declaration was necessary because Asphalt Systems is currently the only vendor providing the particular service the city requires.
Council President Michelle Griffith moved to authorize the declaration; Council Member Keith Saks seconded and the motion passed on a 4-0 roll call vote. No members voted against the declaration. The council directed staff to provide the required public notice associated with the sole-source procurement.
