Staff reviewed financials and recent grant activity for the board. On resort tax and transient room tax (TRT) collections, staff said county collections are slightly ahead of last year but remain below 2022 levels, noting a prior year’s solar-worker influx created an anomalous spike in local restaurant business.
Staff also reported that the RTP signage grant award was signed and the county received a material donation from Sanpete County to purchase powder-coated posts for trail signage. Of three administered grants approved in May, two have sent letters of intent and invoices; a third applicant did not receive a UART pairing grant and has staffing shortfalls, leaving staff prepared to reallocate $15,000 to the other two projects if needed.
Staff said they will continue monitoring distributions and provide updated charts for the board; no further board action on reallocations was taken at the meeting.
