The Waterford RTM approved a $100,000 transfer recommended by the Board of Finance to enable Phase 2 of work restoring or creating alternative access to cross‑country sewer mains. The money moves funds within budget line items to let the Utility Commission complete design and begin construction work this fall.
Director Stevens told the RTM that the town has “about 13 or 15 miles of, cross country sewer mains that are in areas that are not within the right of way or in the road,” noting many manholes require contractor access, wetlands permits and targeted clearing. Stevens said Contract 1 completed in May and the second phase will include construction-level work to reach overgrown sections. The motion passed by voice vote.
