Supervisor Christie asked the board to request an after-action report from the Elections Director and the County Recorder's Office to outline lessons learned and improvement opportunities from the July 21 primary.
"We'd like to request an after action report from both the elections director and the County Recorder's Office outlining opportunities for improvements and any lessons learned during the primary ahead of the upcoming general election," Christie said. She asked that the report be discussed at the board's August 25 meeting, and she invited colleagues to submit questions in advance.
Director Hargrove responded that August 25 would be soon to produce a full after-action report and asked for more time; supervisors agreed to schedule the item for the board's first September meeting, September 8. The board asked staff to submit any interim concerns in advance so the September presentation can be focused and complete.
