Elementary STEAM Night is scheduled for Thursday at 6:00 PM to showcase the new STEAM Lab and curriculum. Bowen also reminded the board that first-trimester ends are approaching with half days Nov. 21–22 and the second trimester beginning Nov. 25.
Personnel and student leadership notes: the superintendent reported the hire of Curtis Brewster as the 8th grade girls basketball coach, listed as a superintendent-approved hire on the agenda. Class President Charlee Churchill (9th grade) reported on recent student activities including Quiz Bowl, Kindness Week, and an upcoming Operation Christmas Child project, and said school climate is "overall good, some students are stressed with upcoming exams."
