District schedules community book study on technology and notes a book challenge for review

District staff announced an Anxious Generation community book study with sessions Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 15 and Jan. 12 and noted about 30 community members had signed up; staff also flagged a challenge to 'Welcome to St. Hell' and said the district will follow its book challenge policy.
Barton (staff member) announced a community book study of The Anxious Generation examining technology and social media effects on children; community sessions are scheduled at BestSellers on Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 15 and Jan. 12 from 6:00–7:30 p.m., and staff reported about 30 community members had signed up.
Separately, staff noted a challenge to the book Welcome to St. Hell questioning whether it is in the correct building and whether the age level is appropriate; staff said the district will follow its current book challenge policy to evaluate the concern.
