Staff outlines ADA work and schedules RFI and meeting on tennis courts for August 28

District staff told the committee they are advancing ADA upgrades at Strong School and plan to submit nonpriority project paperwork to the state by October or November. Staff said they have two grants that need to be spent and hope to apply HVAC and ADA grant funds to parts of the scope.
"We should have enough to do Strong under the HVAC grant that we have," Goody Leggett said, noting the grants make some of the near-term ADA work feasible. The committee also scheduled a dedicated meeting on August 28 and an RFI for the high-school tennis courts to collect short-term and long-term resurfacing options and market pricing to inform capital planning.
Staff stressed that ADA submissions are packaged per school per state rules and that the project team will work with the state reviewer to combine certain elements where permissible. The committee asked staff to move the RFI quickly so market responses will be available ahead of the August 28 meeting.
