Ottawa County highlights Family Justice Center completion, courthouse renovations and generator study

David Cripps, the county project lead, told commissioners the Family Justice Center construction project is complete and recapped a long list of completed facilities work from the past year, including parking-lot repaving, HVAC and fire-panel work, and interior remodels.
"We closed out the Family Justice Center construction project. It is done," Cripps said. He also said planning is completed for Grand Haven Courthouse renovations (including expansion of the prosecuting attorney's office and moving the friend of the court) and that bidding for some courthouse work will commence next month. Cripps identified a rough cost estimate of $4,500,000 to upgrade the campus electrical service and transformers to provide better backup power and reduce operational vulnerability at the jail.
