District to consider Economics textbook adoption Dec. 3; includes Personal Finance content

Margaret Hendrickson and Christi Fifield presented a proposed adoption of an Economics textbook intended for the fourth required social studies course. Staff noted the proposed text is from the same company/series previously adopted last year for World History, U.S. History and Civics, and that the Economics text includes Personal Finance content to satisfy an additional high school requirement.
Board members asked questions that were answered; the item will be presented for action at the Dec. 3, 2024 regular meeting. Staff noted that all resources are available for public review at Central Office.
