Board to consider AP Physics textbook adoption Dec. 3 after presentation

District curriculum staff presented a proposed AP Physics textbook adoption for Farmington High School and North Farmington High School; the proposal will be presented for action at the Board's Dec. 3 meeting.
Director Margaret Hendrickson and K–12 Math/Science Coordinator Colleen Stamm said both Farmington High School (FHS) and North Farmington High School (NFHS) now offer AP Physics and detailed the course description and reasons for the proposed textbook adoption. The presentation included highlights of the text and teacher supports needed for implementation.
Board members asked questions that staff answered; the minutes record that the adoption will be presented for action at the Dec. 3, 2024 regular meeting. The district stated that resource materials are available to the public for review at the Central Office.
