The board on April 17 acknowledged several personnel actions: hiring Peyton Shea as a Swan Valley High School special education teacher for the 2025–26 school year and approving winter coaching staff assignments for boys and girls basketball, wrestling, bowling, competitive cheer, pom pom and volleyball. The board also acknowledged contracts and wages for Swan Valley Learning Center and Food Service staff and approved the Learning Center rates for 2025–26. Each personnel motion passed unanimously, 7-0.
In governance actions, the board approved the Swan Valley Middle School, Swan Valley High School and Adult/Alternative Education handbooks for 2025–26 and adopted multiple board policies (including school vehicles, transportation services, dangerous weapons policy, recognition of bargaining units and role of the superintendent in negotiations). These policy and handbook approvals also passed 7-0.
