Board hears subcommittee updates; advocacy team plans outreach on three bills

Board Member Patricia Love reported the Advocacy Subcommittee had discussed three legislative items that will be considered at a future meeting: Assembly Bill 1224 (extending substitute teacher periods), AB 959 (administrator internship programs run by county offices of education), and AB 927 (increasing time allowed for William’s review). Love also described a school task force organizing meetings on school funding adequacy with sessions on April 21 (virtual), May 19 (San Bruno campus) and a third meeting at 101 Twin Dolphin Drive; the subcommittee plans outreach to district boards, especially those in LCFF categories.
