Superintendent Nancy Magee offered a warm welcome to Arias, saying she looks forward to learning from Arias’s lived and professional experience. Arias later explained she had been absent from the March 19 meeting because she was in Sacramento completing the Master Plan for Developmental Services, a 195-page document with 167 recommendations developed by five work groups. The board noted Arias’s participation in that stakeholder committee as relevant experience for county-level governance.
At the same meeting the board approved March 19 minutes; Arias recorded one abstention on that vote because she had been absent. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for April 16, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.
