Superintendent Dr. R. Roberts reviewed the Human Resources/Labor Relations report and highlighted recent community events and recognitions. He called the SUHS ribbon-cutting "a success," praised community support for the bond that funded facility work and said the district would hold two more ribbon-cutting events for other buildings still under completion.
Dr. Roberts also said Deb Macon will facilitate the district's next strategic plan through the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) and congratulated Handley Elementary for being named a Blue Ribbon School โ one of 12 in Michigan โ recognizing staff, students and families for the honor. President Coleman thanked staff and credited student involvement in merging two high schools as a driver of community support.
The Board announced an Action Meeting on Oct. 15, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. and a Liaison Meeting on Oct. 16, 2025 at 5:30 p.m., both in the Administration Building Board Room. The briefing adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
