Board hears annual review of Emergency Virtual Days plan; no changes reported

School administrators presented the Emergency Virtual Days Plan, explaining the policy allows the district to hold virtual instruction days that count as days of instruction—avoiding make-up days in June when emergencies occur. The board was reminded the plan was originally approved Feb. 1 and, under current regulations, must be presented annually.
Administrators said there were no changes to the previously approved plan and that it will be brought back for formal approval at the Nov. 14 board meeting. No new operational scenarios or changes to instructional expectations were proposed at the Oct. 17 discussion.
