County administrator outlines IT disaster plan and grant resources

County Administrator Erickson reported the senior management team had a recent meeting that included a presentation by the Association of Minnesota Counties' GRAMA support team about grant-finding tools and grant-writing templates county departments could use to pursue funding.
Erickson also described work on an IT disaster-recovery plan to ensure county operations continue after a network outage or other event. Topics included where departmental contact lists are stored, access to buildings if keyless entry depends on network authentication, and use of Everbridge and emergency-management resources for communications. "What is the recovery or response aspects that we need to be aware of?" Erickson asked, noting some contingency work remains.
