Representatives from Kitchigami Regional Libraries introduced April Estelle as the new Brainerd branch manager during the Nov. 12 Crow Wing County Board meeting. Melissa Watley, identified as the system's executive director, said Estelle has been in the role for just under a month and will help oversee nearby branches.
Watley thanked the board for a 3% preliminary levy increase for Kitchigami that she said will help strengthen regional communications and services. "We do appreciate that," Watley said. Estelle said she is excited to be in the Brainerd area and looks forward to meeting with commissioners and community members about library issues.
