Court sets $5,000 bond for Gabriela Rubencheck; contested hearing reset

When parties argued ability to post bond, the prosecutor told the court Rubencheck had been remanded without bond on new offenses and recommended a $5,000 bond after reviewing her resources and custody status. The judge stated, “This is going to the bond will be set at $5,000. There’s going to be regular UAs, waive fees,” and directed the clerk to give counsel a reset form for the contested hearing date. Defense counsel had asked the court to consider evidence on Rubencheck’s ability to make bond; the prosecution noted the previous bond had been $3,000.
The court’s order also included routine conditions — regular urine analyses and administrative waivers — and the judge told the defense there would be no further resets on the contested hearing.
