Plevna council selects new town logo; sign concept planned

The Plevna Town Council reviewed ten submissions for a town logo at the Jan. 13 meeting and made a unanimous selection. Designer Lauera Vanderheart submitted the winning design.
Clerk Krista Nemitz will prepare a sign concept based on the chosen logo and contact Baker Metal and Thee Body Shop for estimates for a layered metal sign painted to reflect the design. The clerk will also discuss minor design adjustments with the designer before moving to production.
Council did not authorize sign fabrication funding at the meeting; the decision was limited to selecting a logo and directing the clerk to obtain vendor estimates and design adjustments.
