Council OKs purchase of two dark-brown picnic benches for Plevna Park

Clerk Ashley Martin asked the council to confirm whether to order one or two picnic benches and which color to select. She told the council it "would be an additional almost $400 for shipping" and that the vendor requires a loading dock or forklift or charges $90 extra for lift-gate delivery.
Councilwoman Miller said the benches are intended to replace the existing park bench and the council agreed to order two benches in the dark brown color and to use local equipment (skid steer/forklift) to avoid the extra $90 lift-gate charge. Clerk Martin will place the order and arrange for delivery and unloading.
