The Plevna Town Council voted Jan. 13 to authorize up to $1,000 to complete the interior of the container-site building. Councilman Jason Oberlander moved to authorize the expenditure and Councilman Kyle Vennes seconded; the motion carried by recorded tally.
Mayor Gary Thielen noted that finishing the building would eliminate ongoing fuel costs currently budgeted to supplies. The council reviewed the repairs and maintenance budget line before approving the expenditure.
The funds will be used for lumber and a heater as described in the meeting discussion; the council did not specify a vendor. Council recorded the motion as carried by an affirmative vote of four members.
