Container Site Operator Mark Thielen said he recently got a replacement container from G&G Garbage on short notice. Clerk Ashley Martin and Mayor Gary Thielen told the council they had shared the site gate code with the G&G driver and are working with the company to place Plevna on a regular rotation to avoid long waits when the town requests a new container.
Mayor Gary Thielen told the council WBI Energy donated an old gas house to the town. "We would like to get it fixed up, put a floor in it and a heater to have out at the container site so that our dump operator has somewhere to stay warm," he said. The clerk sent a thank-you card to WBI. No formal appropriation was made; council agreed to pursue refurbishment logistics.
