Plevna council renews snow-removal contract with Wyrick Construction

The Town of Plevna council voted Jan. 13 to rehire Wyrick Construction for snow removal on town streets for the 2025 winter season at the same cost as the previous year. Councilman Kyle Vennes made the motion and Councilman Jason Oberlander seconded; the motion carried by recorded tally.
Mayor Gary Thielen and council members said no further discussion was needed after Vennes described the vendor's prior-year performance. "Wyrick's has agreed to take care of snow removal again this year for the Town streets at the same cost as last year," the council recorded. The council did not amend contract terms or change pricing at the meeting.
The decision keeps existing winter maintenance arrangements in place and avoids immediate procurement of alternative vendors. The council recorded the vote and carried the motion by an affirmative tally of four in favor, none opposed.
