A commissioner asked staff to prepare alternate millage scenarios, including the rolled-back rate, so the board could see comparative revenue changes. "Could you run a couple scenarios for us... if we were to hit the rollback?" the commissioner asked, requesting change columns for the general fund, the MSTU, library and all-hazards funds.
Pete Winton agreed to include the rollback and additional millage scenarios in the next meeting's materials and said staff would flow those scenarios into the models and show the revenue impacts for commissioners ahead of the August 19 workshop. Commissioners agreed to defer final surplus-allocation decisions until staff returns with those modeled scenarios.
