Under Item 8 the chair asked the council to approve repairs to two newly acquired buildings at 407 Charter Street and 200 Magna Square, with up to $145,000 to be paid from the city sales tax fund. Staff said the city has taken ownership and that move-in has begun for city personnel.
Chris Bautrow described repairs that include minor roof patching, waterproofing on the second floor and some rekeying to ready space for the marshal's office. Bautrow said the funds should carry the city until expected state funding arrives, but if state funds do not materialize he would return for additional funds. The council moved, seconded and approved the funding by voice vote.
