Staff reported that the Abbeville Planning Commission recommended granting a variance from the five-foot green-strip required in the ordinance so the credit union at 108 Southeast Street could place parking closer to the building. The planner said the applicant met or exceeded other landscape requirements and only needed the frontage variance.
A council member moved the item and, after a brief exchange confirming the matter had been reviewed by planning and zoning, the council approved the variance by voice vote.
