Superintendent reports generator repair, pool and boiler bids, and hydrant maintenance plan
Summary
The superintendent said Heritage High's generator control board was replaced; the Sherwood pool and Arrowwood boiler projects will go to bid this month; and the district owns eight hydrants that the Fire Department will maintain if the district signs a Release of Liability form.
Superintendent Jamie Kraatz told the board that the Heritage High School generator control board was updated over winter break and is now functioning and water-tight. She said the Sherwood pool project will go out to bid this month, with a pre-bid walkthrough to be conducted by Spence Brothers; the board was told the project would be awarded in February with an optimal start over Spring Break and a goal of completion by the fall term. The Arrowwood boiler project was also listed to go to bid this month.
Kraatz also reported the district owns eight hydrants across its properties (3 at WP, 1 at Westdale, 4 at Heritage). The minutes state the Water Department was thought to be checking these hydrants but was not; the Fire Department offered to perform the maintenance free of charge provided the district signs a Release of Liability form. The minutes include the Release of Liability form as an item shared with the board for their information; no formal board action was recorded.
