Residents raise landlord, vehicle and parking complaints; council asks administrator and code office to follow up

Multiple members of the public used the privilege-of-the-floor period to raise code-enforcement and neighborhood quality-of-life issues. A former tenant from Cherry Hill outlined repair and maintenance complaints against a prior landlord and provided dates and an outline of issues to the governing body. Jeff Hamilton of 1544 Paul Avenue reported a resident using their house for commercial car repair activity and submitted a petition from neighbors; Administrator Marino said the individual has been charged by the Code Office and the administrator would follow up with the office.
Other commenters reported a car parked on Roosevelt Street that had not moved in about a year and inquired about ordinances for fire-damaged houses. M. Hamilton of 513 Jefferson Street asked about status of a handicap parking spot request and the presence of multiple vehicles at one address; the police chief said the vehicles were registered. Linda Weber asked about the planned use for Block 52 Lot 1 (Hoffman & Delaware Avenue); Administrator Marino said a single-family dwelling would be put there and acknowledged concerns about property lines. Council asked the administrator and code officers to follow up on enforcement actions.
