The Statewide Independent Living Council of Illinois met on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2025, at 9:31 a.m. and confirmed a quorum. Chair Hershel Jackson opened the meeting and the council approved the agenda on a motion by John Paschedag, seconded by Riley Anderson. Anderson later moved to approve the minutes of the May 7, 2025 meeting with one correction; Jae Jin Pak seconded and the motion carried.
Treasurer Emma Danielson presented financial reports for April, May and June 2025. A motion by John Paschedag to approve those financial reports was seconded by Riley Anderson and carried. The meeting record shows no roll-call tallies; motions were recorded as carried.
The meeting included reports from the chair, the executive director, advisory groups and state agencies. INCIL reported 87 home-modification projects completed and a fiscal year 2026 home-modification contract valued at $3.5 million. The council adjourned at 2:11 p.m. on a motion by Riley Anderson, seconded by John Paschedag.
