Osceola County approves $15.75 million FY26/27 budget appropriations

The Osceola County Board of Supervisors on June 23 approved Resolution #29 25/26 adopting FY26/27 budget appropriations totaling $15,754,629.
Supervisor Mike Schulte moved for adoption; the motion was seconded and passed with all five supervisors — Schulte, Jeff Loring, Jayson Vande Hoef, LeRoy DeBoer and Jerry Helmers — voting in favor. The resolution gives each county department 100% appropriation authority for the fiscal year. The complete text of the resolution is available at the Auditor’s Office or online at the county website.
County officials said the appropriations cover standard operating accounts across general, secondary road, rural services and other funds. The Board reviewed payroll registers for mid-June during the meeting as part of the fiscal review. There was no recorded public comment on the budget at the meeting.
The Board’s action sets the county’s legal spending authority for FY26/27; departmental spending will proceed under those appropriations unless the Board later approves amendments.
