Board approves software, assessment service contracts and hires new highway equipment operator

Separately, the human resources department presented William Nauer for hire as a full‑time equipment operator in the highway department, scheduled to start Aug. 17; the board approved the hire unanimously. All financial and personnel items on the consent-like portion of the agenda passed without dissent.
Officials said these are routine contract renewals and a planned hire to fill operational needs in the highway department.
