Debbie Goodwin, Executive Director of the Daviess County Visitor's Bureau, told commissioners the bureau distributed approximately 3,000 visitor guides and added 15 event producers to the county calendar as part of expanded outreach. She said the bureau partnered with local radio stations and highlighted local attractions and events to raise visibility for county businesses.
Goodwin said innkeepers she contacted reported estimated occupancy in 2025 of roughly 82–100 percent; the bureau will continue compiling official innkeeper data once the Southern Indiana Business Report and IDC publish formal figures. Goodwin also discussed partnerships such as the Sweet Treat Trail and Hot Air Balloon Fest at West Boggs. County Attorney Grant Swartzentruber and Goodwin reviewed the county tourism ordinance and agreed no changes were necessary at this time.
