Trustees reviewed a request to establish or increase tuition differentials for several graduate programs, including a notable adjustment for the Masters of Business Creation (MBC), an online and in-person master’s program.
Program staff explained the MBC launched about seven years ago and added an online offering three years later. A program representative said the online cohort includes company founders who often have revenue and who asked for increased faculty interaction and support. "About 90% of the companies that, the founders enrolled the businesses have revenue," the representative said, characterizing why the program can sustain a differential to support enhanced instructional resources.
The administration framed this and other graduate differentials (education in‑person, engineering online, health hybrid) as new market- and demand-based rates set after analysis of program needs and student demand. Trustees did not delay action on the general tuition package to isolate the MBC request; the board approved the overall tuition and the set of differentials as part of the package.
