Murphy said those legacy grant agreements have funding through June 30, 2025, and some grantees have asked for extensions of spending periods but not additional funds. He acknowledged there is no final decision yet and that renewals or other options will be considered during the FY26 budget process, and he said OGM can verify which organizations were reapplied and extended. The council requested verification and a rapid, substantive response from the County Executive and CAO to avoid repeating prior delays and to limit politicized decision-making about renewals.
