San Pasqual Valley Unified recognizes students of the month and presents Heart of SPVUSD awards

At the start of the Dec. 9 meeting the board recognized staff and students. The Heart of SPVUSD Award was presented to Daniel Paz and Lisa Mendenhall. Students of the Month included elementary students Rodrigo Barajas and Anayahlyn Hernandez, middle-school student Sophia Daleiza Lerma Dominguez, and high-school students Jayden Sisomphou and Kalika Smith-Waters.
Associated Student Body representatives described upcoming activities including a blanket drive for the community, a hot-chocolate event at the elementary Christmas program, a winter pep rally on Dec. 16, 2025 and a post-rally "Chill out/block party." The recognitions and ASB announcements were presented as part of routine reports and community engagement for students and families.
