Town/county staff told the Pahrump Off Highway Vehicle Park Advisory Committee on April 2 that the Phase II grant for park work concluded Feb. 28, 2026, and final reports and a draw request have been submitted.
"We ended up spending $59,863.85 of the grant so we will be de-obligating $22,036.15 which will go into their next round of Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) funding from the OHV Commission," Debra Strickland read into the record summarizing an email from Jennifer Fanning. Staff said a request for proposals was advertised Feb. 26, 2026, with a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting held Mar. 11 and bids due Mar. 26; bids will be transmitted to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration on Apr. 21.
Committee members were told that the improvement and grading plans for the OHV Park and an updated portion of the drainage study will be provided to potential bidders. Jimmy Martinez reported no additional update beyond the memorandum read by staff.
