Juvenile Probation Supervisor Dahlia Stender presented two pass-through funding agreements from the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections and requested Board approval. The Board approved $38,400 for JCA cigarette/tobacco tax funding and $13,248 for SUDS allocation, both of which Stender said will continue existing programing and were reviewed by the Prosecuting Attorney.
Stender also raised a personnel concern: she told the Board she had received an email on July 10 from Commissioner Gordon Wilkerson requesting extensive statistical information and justification for her department's 5% wage-increase request and said she believed she may have been singled out compared with other departments that had not received similar scrutiny. Commissioners Harberd and Marvin told Stender they had no knowledge of the email and advised her to wait until Commissioner Wilkerson returns to address the matter directly.
"she had received an email on Friday, July 10 at 4:59 PM from Commissioner Wilkerson requesting extensive statistical information and justification for her department's 5% wage increase request," Stender reported. The transcript records no further action on the personnel concern at the meeting; the pass-through funding motions carried.
