USPS advised that a park‑and‑loop model (3–4 sections served from business frontage) would provide better customer service and lower liability and maintenance costs compared with installing cluster boxes, which would require about 16 boxes in a covered, well‑lit, ADA‑accessible location. USPS said it will return with a park‑and‑loop plan that includes crosswalk and parking recommendations. The agency set an open house for Tuesday, May 19 at Gilbertsville Fire and Rescue and scheduled a workshop at 6:00 p.m. before the April 27 meeting to continue planning.
