Commission transfers emergency expenditures to emergency fund after motion to reallocate $500,000 fails

Commissioner Steven Klym moved to transfer $500,000 in budget authority into the County Emergency Fund but the motion died for lack of a second. Chairman Dean Rodne then moved to transfer emergency expenditures from the county general fund to the emergency fund; that motion passed unanimously. The commission also requested additional time to review the 241-page Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan that had been presented.
