Commission OKs $7,022 upfit for Sheriff’s 2025 Chevy Tahoe, splits cost across county funds

The Lyon County Commission approved the upfitting of one 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe for the Sheriff’s Office at a total cost of $7,022.30.
Tobey Kelly of the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office told commissioners the work would be done by Traffic Control Services, Inc. and described the funding split: $2,134.80 from the Multi‑Year LE Vehicle Equipment Capital fund (017-00-9031) and $4,887.50 from the Law Enforcement Misc. Contractual fund (010-17-7602). The motion to approve passed 3-0.
Commissioners recorded that the purchase will allow the department to outfit the vehicle for patrol duties; staff will track the expense against the two specified funds.
