Town Administrator Andria Hansen reported employees attended a demonstration of Shure Systems microphones to improve the audio quality of town meetings and enable reliable use of Teams or Zoom. Hansen said "The proposal was for approx. $50k to be paid for from the Communications Account. The current balance on that account is $43k."
Chairman Edward B. Beattie asked for an additional demonstration with the Selectmen present before any funding decision. The board did not approve any expenditure at the meeting and asked staff to return with refined costs and a demonstration.
