Bill Perkins, a resident of the 10-house neighborhood, told the board that deeds, passports and other legal documents list the address as Evergreen Road and that town records had been altered to show Evergreen Drive after digitization by Vision Appraisal Technology. Perkins said internal Town documents are the primary inconsistency and that a formal vote would send notice to state agencies and 911 mapping authorities.
Chairman Edward B. Beattie confirmed a wooden sign at the end of the road reads "Evergreen Road," and the Selectmen voted unanimously to approve the official name Evergreen Road. Beattie urged staff to ensure Avitar and internal Town records are updated to reflect the change.
